Billa for a big business

It is a trend in Kollywood that films with mega stars in lead roles would be sold to distributors at the time of pooja itself. Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijaykanth, Ajith and Vijay starrer movies are to name a few.

However, Ajith starrer Billa, a remake of Rajini’s yesteryear blockbuster of the same title is an exception to that. Even as distributors are ready to offer a good price for distribution rights, producer Ananda Suresh is not ready to sell the movie till the shooting completes.

Sources say that the producer was that confident that he could sell the distribution rights for a much better price after the shooting or he could even release the movie on his own across the State.
